I am completely awe struck by this excerpt. I am a former Texas Department of Criminal Justice correctional officer, and I believe that the writer of this book has the world of prison down to an art. I couldn't take my eyes off of the computer screen while reading this, and now I'm longing to read the rest of the story. I actually grew up on prison property, not even a half of a mile away from the prison, and the details of this story are not close to the truth, but the exact truth of how life is in a prison. I'm still in awe as I am writing this. Very excellent work!
